The Recreation Department is located at 97 Hillview Avenue, Los Altos, CA 94022. Most questions of a general nature related to Administration can be answered by calling the Recreation Department at 650-947-2790.

- Los Altos Swim Masters Program - Los Altos Masters (LAM) is a swim club for people of all ages and abilities and offer lap swimming and team swimming for adults, a year-round Youth Swim Team, and summer swim lessons for children.
- Senior Center - We help adults 50 and older to live, learn, and maintain their independence. We promote healthy aging. This is the place to turn for the right activity or service to meet your particular need.
- LAYT - Los Altos Youth Theatre - LAYT offers four shows per year produced by professional directors and support staff in the Bus Barn Theater. Participation is by audition.
- Special Events - The City of Los Altos currently holds 6 special events a year. Check out the upcoming exciting events held throughout Los Altos.
- Teen Programs - The Underground is a drop-in teen center for students who are in 7th-12th grade. As well as, numerous teen dances (LAYC, The Project) and special events are offered by the City throughout the year.
