Meet Your City Council
The City Council meets the second and fourth Tuesdays at 7:00 p.m. in the Community Meeting Chambers, Los Altos City Hall, One North San Antonio Road.
Los Altos City Councilmembers are elected at-large to four-year terms in November of even-numbered years. The Los Altos City Council is responsible for determining City policies and service standards. Adoption of the two-year Service and Financial Plan by Council allocates the City's financial and human resources to support its goals and objectives for the two-year cycle. The City's Municipal Code and General Plan are also adopted and amended by Council action. The Council regularly appoints citizens to various advisory commission and committees. Interested residents are encouraged to contact the City Clerk's Office.
Information packets for Council meetings are placed in each of the libraries and City Hall the Friday prior to Council Meetings. Additionally, you may view the Council agenda by clicking on the Agenda/Minutes feature at the top of this page. Live council meetings can also be viewed on Comcast (Channel 26).
